FRAME
FRAME rug goes beyond the limits of the frame while organising a composition. I have created a movement of materials and colours based on the rhythm of interweaving.
Like a fabric seen through an XXL magnifying glass, the braided threads in the carpet become bands of colours and materials that intersect with each other. The surface of the carpet is transformed into a new volume with rounded edges, and its shape makes it possible to invent a modular system.
FRAME can be composed and decomposed, in an infinite variety of sizes, materials and colours. The carpet becomes an unusual, geometric and sensual checkerboard that invites you to play with space.
Marine Peyre
Graduated of the Ecole d’Architecture et des Beaux-Arts de Marseille, Marine Peyre made her entrance on the design scene in 2001 with the creation of the ‘cooked in marseille’ brand, releasing a collection of silicone objects inspired by popular beach aesthetics, including the ‘Expres’soft’ cup and the ‘Lampoule’ luminous cube, which were widely distributed from Galeries Lafayettes in Paris to Sketch in London, via the Miro foundation in Barcelona and the MOMA boutique in New York.
Based in Paris since 2011, Marine Peyre founded her furniture design house in 2017, Marine Peyre Editions, within which she designs and markets modular Soft Seating collections, 100% made in France.
